Together, we embarked on a journey to develop an enterprise-level BOM management platform that not only embraced forward-looking technology but also harmonized seamlessly with JMC's business development strategy, helping JMC improve the synergy and management efficiency across the entire product business domain.

Jiangling Motors Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "JMC") is a prominent player in the Chinese automotive industry, specializing in the research, development, manufacturing, sales, and services of complete vehicles and components. ● Involves multiple enterprise-level vehicle platforms with certain business variations.
● Historical master data lacks enterprise-level specifications, leading to confusion in historical vehicle data.
● There is an urgent need to address how to streamline configuration management for integrated functions such as configurable pricing and intelligent ordering.
● Fragmentation exists between various Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, with multiple manual conversion steps resulting in poor BOM consistency and a higher error rate.
● Due to a complex historical background, the platform systems in various business domains (PDM/PMS/SAP/DMS, etc.) cannot be seamlessly integrated.

● Master Data Management: Aids in refining enterprise-level and unified foundational master data standards, such as product lineup and product structures, to standardize master data definitions from the ground up and promote the enterprise-wide application.
● Part Management: Based on historical coding systems and industry expertise, streamlines a coding system that is compatible with history and future-oriented to ensure a unified source for part number generation.
● Configuration Management: Implements end-to-end configuration management throughout the product lifecycle, including product planning, product development, production, and marketing.
● BOM Management: Adopts an integrated BOM architecture to efficiently connect different forms of BOM data in various domains to ensuring the consistency of BOM data throughout the entire business chain.
● Change Management: Utilizes an enterprise-level end-to-end change management approach to cover change requests, engineering BOM changes, manufacturing MBOM changes, after-sales BOM changes, and the entire process of material switching on the production site. It also includes change management for data entities related to product configurations, BOMs, and parts and components.
● BOM Application: Deeply integrates with PDM, procurement, SAP cost information systems to provide multidimensional cost analysis reports and support complete vehicle cost tracking during the project development stage. Additionally, it incorporates vehicle software configurations into enterprise-level BOM system management, thus efficiently transmitting vehicle software configuration data to the production side.
● Engine BOM Management: Extends the vehicle BOM management model to engine BOM management to transition from the previous standalone BOM model to a super BOM model.
● Special Order BOM Management: Supports online management of special order BOMs, and seamlessly integrates material and BOM data with the SAP production system.

Unified part master data management covers various areas including R&D, procurement, manufacturing, production, and after-sales, and eliminates issues related to inconsistent part master data sources and part numbers in different domains.

Achieves end-to-end integration of configuration management across R&D, production and sales, introduces the sales configuration module, and optimizes pricing and ordering processes. This alignment of pricing and ordering scope with engineering development reduces the proportion of special orders, enhances order processing efficiency, and ensures that vehicle codes are generated when necessary, thus lowering management costs and error rates significantly.

Through online integrated BOM management, it eliminates problems such as misalignment and inconsistencies in BOMs during different stages of product development across various business domains and breaks down information barriers between different business areas.

Implements an end-to-end change management model while establishing a close-coupled relationship between changes and BOM data, which improves change management efficiency and BOM data accuracy.

BESTUNE Digital Integrated Procurement Project
In the pursuit of a leading and sophisticated procurement management system, BESTUNE joined forces with Gant Software in 2017. This strategic partnership aimed to create an integrated business control platform tailored to strategic procurement. The collaborative effort enabled BESTUNE to gain full control over its primary procurement processes while ensuring the real-time and efficient execution of procurement tasks. This, in turn, fostered advancements in business operations, knowledge accumulation, and experience transfer.
BFDA Sales Resources Management Project
Gant Software collaborated with Foton Daimler to optimize the management of sales resources, which includes the management of vehicle models for sale and configuration master data, product management, and sales configurator management. By building a unified enterprise-level configuration resource library and introducing a configuration-based super BOM management model, it revolutionized the management approach of engineering, production, and sales configuration, and achieved the integration of configuration and BOM management.
Jiyue Enterprise-level BOM Project
Launched in May 2022, the enterprise-level BOM project (JiBom) was successfully completed within seven months with the support of Gant Software. The project includes the construction of the BOM system for R&D and after-sales domain, as well as integration with other related systems in Jiyue and Geely’s BOM system. This project brought about a profound integration the R&D, after-sales and manufacturing process/data of Jiyue and Geely at an accelerated pace.
FAW JIEFANG Digital Integrated Procurement Project
In 2017, FAW JIEFANG established deep cooperation with Gant Software and adopted a step-by-step implementation approach to cover the two major business groups of vehicles and powertrains. Developed the centralized procurement control platform for the procurement business of 8 manufacturing bases.
