Jiyue Enterprise-level BOM Project
Launched in May 2022, the enterprise-level BOM project (JiBom) was successfully completed within seven months with the support of Gant Software. The project includes the construction of the BOM system for R&D and after-sales domain, as well as integration with other related systems in Jiyue and Geely’s BOM system. This project brought about a profound integration the R&D, after-sales and manufacturing process/data of Jiyue and Geely at an accelerated pace.

极越汽车是一家汽车机器人创业公司，成立于2021年3月，由百度和吉利共同投资，致力于全球顶尖的自动驾驶、人机交互科技的工程研发和商业化普及，打造拥有情感和智慧的革命性汽车机器人，还人们更多空间与时间，实现更多可能。极越汽车的企业级BOM项目（JiBom）于2022年5月启动，历时7个月完成上线。建设内容包括研发领域、售后领域的BOM建设，以及与极越其它业务系统和吉利BOM系统的集成，在项目时间要求背景下，甘棠软件提前3个月完成项目上线。在复杂的业务背景下，甘棠软件深度融合了极越汽车与吉利汽车的研发、售后、制造领域，促成了双方BOM业务和数据的快速对接与融合，使得难以同步的变更数据从预估的以月为周期缩短到了天、甚至小时级别，同时极大程度保证了数据的准确性。
Project Overview
Jiyue is an automotive robotics startup company, founded in March 2021 with investments from Baidu and Geely. Jiyue is dedicated to the engineering research and development and commercialization of top-tier autonomous driving and human-machine interaction technologies. Jiyue Automotive's enterprise-level BOM project (JiBom) was initiated in May 2022 and completed in seven months. The construction project includes the construction of the BOM system for R&D and after-sales, as well as integration with Jiyue's other business systems and Geely BOM system. Despite tight project timelines, Gant Software managed to go live three months ahead of schedule. In a complex business context, Gant Software deeply integrated the R&D, manufacturing, and after-sales processes of Jiyue Automotive and Geely and facilitated rapid alignment and fusion of BOM-related business and data. This significantly reduced the lead time for change data synchronization from a monthly estimate to daily or even hourly levels while ensuring data accuracy to a great extent.

Business Challenges
During the initial stage of the JiBom project, Jiyue Automotive faced three business models: Collaboration in research and development with Geely's manufacturing, Jiyue's in-house research with Geely's manufacturing, and Jiyue's in-house research and manufacturing. In the midst of numerous encounters between Geely's established automotive expertise and emerging intelligent technologies, Gant Software encountered three major challenges:
1. How to ensure effective cooperation and communication between Jiyue and Geely?
2. How to ensure that their respective business models can be interconnected through a set of data?
3. How to maintain independent autonomy while achieving deep collaboration capabilities across research and development, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales within the two business and data models?

Our Solutions
The construction of JiBOM management system incorporated the advanced management practices from Geely BOM 3.0. The main business areas of the Phase I project include:
● Product master data management: Integrating the product structure standards from Geely's cooperative R&D project, and combining it with Jiyue’s in-house business requirements, thus establishing a set of product structure standards that can support cooperative R&D business without disrupting its product structure standards for independent R&D.
● Parts management: Customized a coding system to meet the needs of Geely's various research institutes for part coding, part design, and manufacturing modes, thus ensuring compatibility with Geely's business.
● Engineering configuration management: Defining engineering configuration tables in a fully configured mode, while self-developing a unique configuration management system based on Jiyue’s specific business requirements.
● BOM management: Integrate Jiyue's product structure system and Geely's product structure standards into one BOM, and integrated different software management modes of Jiyue and Geely into JiBOM
● Change Management: Changes take effect immediately after approval. Change contents in BOM are transmitted to related systems to ensure efficient and unified data information.

Set up a new dealer quotation management system for Jiyue, which supports configuration master data management, configuration price management, sales resource management, and commodity authorization management at the backend, thus connecting key information of product creation and OTD processes.
