In the pursuit of a leading and sophisticated procurement management system, BESTUNE joined forces with Gant Software in 2017. This strategic partnership aimed to create an integrated business control platform tailored to strategic procurement. The collaborative effort enabled BESTUNE to gain full control over its primary procurement processes while ensuring the real-time and efficient execution of procurement tasks. This, in turn, fostered advancements in business operations, knowledge accumulation, and experience transfer.

Project Overview

FAW Bestune Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Bestune') is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation and serves as the core brand for passenger vehicles within the FAW Group. The growth of its brand business necessitated a shift away from its existing, isolated business systems. These systems no longer met the requirements for efficient business execution, data accuracy, compliance control, and other critical demands. In response, BESTUNE made the strategic decision in 2017 to partner with Gant Software in creating a leading and sophisticated procurement management system. The goal was to establish an integrated business control platform specially designed for strategic procurement.

BESTUNE encountered tremendous challenges in its existing procurement business due to its strategic transformation of procurement business, as well as the changes in its legacy IT systems, integration and migration of historical data, and other issues.

Our Solutions

● Business analysis and system implementation: Based on a consulting model and IT system construction, Gant Software helped BESTUNE analyze its procurement business and proposed many recommendations for improvement. Through detailed consultations with business users, we developed a solution for future business management mode and translated them into functional designs for the IT system. We identified and successfully automated upstream business demands and characteristics, enabling real-time task transfers.
● Standardized cleansing of discrete data: We meticulously analyzed the scattered data retained in various systems and manual processes, then standardized and refined them for consistency. This also involved the cleansing and integration of crucial business process data distributed across different systems and offline sources.
● Comprehensive platform integration between production and procurement business: We integrated the mainline business of procurement project management, sourcing, production readiness, parts cost analysis, online conference decision-making management, nomination letters, supply risk management, supplier performance, and APQP.

BFDA Sales Resources Management Project
Gant Software collaborated with Foton Daimler to optimize the management of sales resources, which includes the management of vehicle models for sale and configuration master data, product management, and sales configurator management. By building a unified enterprise-level configuration resource library and introducing a configuration-based super BOM management model, it revolutionized the management approach of engineering, production, and sales configuration, and achieved the integration of configuration and BOM management.
Jiyue Enterprise-level BOM Project
Launched in May 2022, the enterprise-level BOM project (JiBom) was successfully completed within seven months with the support of Gant Software. The project includes the construction of the BOM system for R&D and after-sales domain, as well as integration with other related systems in Jiyue and Geely’s BOM system. This project brought about a profound integration the R&D, after-sales and manufacturing process/data of Jiyue and Geely at an accelerated pace.
FAW JIEFANG Digital Integrated Procurement Project
In 2017, FAW JIEFANG established deep cooperation with Gant Software and adopted a step-by-step implementation approach to cover the two major business groups of vehicles and powertrains. Developed the centralized procurement control platform for the procurement business of 8 manufacturing bases.
JMC Enterprise-level BOM Project
In recent years, the domestic car market has witnessed intensified competition. To further enhance core competitiveness, JMC initiated a deep collaboration with Gant Software and leveraged our expertise and years of hands-on experience in the BOM field. Together, we embarked on a journey to develop an enterprise-level BOM management platform that not only embraced forward-looking technology but also harmonized seamlessly with JMC's business development strategy, helping JMC improve the synergy and management efficiency across the entire product business domain.
